Living in the Age of Surveillance​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​
Level: Intermediate
Tool: Adobe Premiere
Learning objectives: Video production skills (Storyboarding, work with digital cameras and audio recording devices), post-production skills in Premiere (Logging and assembly, rough and final cut)
For this project, students were asked to go around campus and record audios/videos in order to create 2 to 4-minute films based on the theme "Surveillance"
Digital Video Essay ​​​​​​​
Level: Advanced
Tool: Adobe Premiere
Learning objectives: Video production skills (Storyboarding, work with digital cameras and audio recording devices), post-production skills in Premiere (Logging and assembly, rough cut, final cut, color correction, add effects, and transitions)
Students first wrote a one-page essay for this project and then transformed it into a 2 to 5-minute video. They also included audio compositions, Voiceovers, or music. In addition, students recorded some footage/sounds, and they were also allowed to borrow royalty-free videos and sound effects/music.
