This section includes student's works from 3D art and design classes. Students created experimental 3D models, worlds, and animations with a focus on conceptual and creative processes using Autodesk Maya, Adobe Dimension, Mesh Mixer, and Sketchfab. They also explored 3D scanning and printing technology using applications such as Cura, Qlone, and Trino. Topics vary from 3D modeling to look development, animation, physics, and simulation.
Elements of Art and Principles of Design
Level: Beginner
Tool: Adobe Dimension
Learning objectives: Import Models, Basic Modeling, Rendering
For this project, students practiced the understanding of Elements of Art and Principles of design
experimenting with the foundation of the tool and 3D rendering.

3D Mashup
Level: Intermediate
Tool: Autodesk Maya, Renderman, Substance Painter
Learning objectives: Nurbs and Polygon Modeling, Look Development, Rendering Frames
For this project, students created a 3D mashup using modeling techniques. In their next project, they 3D printed their design in the Maker Lab.

Kinetic Avatar
Level: Advanced
Tool: Autodesk Maya, Adobe Mixamo
Learning objectives: Character Design, Skeleton Rigging, Mocap
For this project, students designed and animated a 3D character using Modeling and Rigging techniques.
Simulated GIF
Level: Advanced
Tool: Autodesk Maya
Learning objectives: Simulations and Physics in 3D
For this project, students created Liquid simulations using Maya Physics and Simulation techniques such as Fluid effects, Gravity, Bullet, and Fields/Solvers.

Virtual World in Motion
Level: Advanced
Tool: Autodesk Maya, Renderman, Substance Painter, Adobe Mixamo
Learning objective: Keyframe Animation, Rigging, Simulation, Rendering Animations
For this project, students created a 1-3 minute animation based on a story. Each animation had multiple scenes of the environment they had developed throughout the course.
